New Addition to the Diane Hardin Acting Team!
Born and raised in Italy, Francesco Plazza has always had enormous passion for films and theater. In 2007 Francesco decided to go the distance by moving to New York to realize his dreams. He is a graduate of The Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theatre where he really learned the simplicity of living truthfully under imaginary circumstances.

In Italy, he studied in small theater laboratories in Cagliari and Naples as well as workshops with NYFA in Sassari. He has worked in small theatre productions in addition to several films and web projects.

In 2012 Francesco began working with Diane Hardin as her assistant in New York. A wonderful experience
for both that led Diane to choose Francesco as her NY teaching associate.

He is also an associate producer at 305 Media Group and is working on developing 2 feature films he’s written.
He recently worked for The Biography Channel, in the pilot of the web series Metamorfosis and co-stars in the
upcoming John Gallagher's feature film “Fickle”.

Outside of professional interests, he travels widely, reads, writes, loves to swing dance, is learning to tap dance and
enjoys living in New York with his wife and dog.

Life is an amazing journey and Francesco is grateful to have found wonderful people in his path to make it possible so far.

New Addition to the Diane Hardin Acting Team!
Katie Pohlman recently finished touring the country playing Anne in the National Tour of La Cage Aux Folles, starring George Hamilton. Prior to that, Katie played Amber Von Tussle in the national tour of the hit musical, Hairspray, and then went on to join the closing cast of Hairspray on Broadway, this time playing LouAnn.

She has also been a part of many regional productions such as The Marvelous Wonderettes, High School Musical, and Falsettos. A native of Rochester, NY she earned a degree in Theatre Performance with a minor in Musical Theatre from Marymount Manhattan College.

When she is not onstage, Katie has been fortunate to assist Diane with her classes over the past 9 years. Her time spent working for Diane has enriched her life tremendously as she learned how to teach the joy of acting to children. Katie looks forward to sharing her love of theatre with kids who share her same passion!

Behind the Scenes!  Debby Thomas, assisting parents, students and Diane!
After seventeen years of teaching Language Arts and presenting plays in Middle School, Debby moved to Los Angeles, CA with husband, actor, playwright, D.Paul. She began producing theatre in 1990 with The Lulu Plays and others including “and”,  Frankie and Johnny at the Clair-De-Lune,  The Presentment and Serious Inquiries Only.

Diane was managing young actors, teaching and directing Young Actors Space.  The two walked the Hollywood Hills discussing life, work and their shared devotion for inspiring young lives.  In 1996, the two families took D.Paul’s Bonhoeffer 1945 and Jerry Hardin’s, Mark Twain to The Edinburgh Festival Fringe.

After first serving on the Board of Directors and then working as Outreach and Education Co-ordinator for the Pasadena Playhouse, State Theater of California, Debby returned part time to substitute teaching.

Diane’s classes in NYC were growing and much of her time in Los Angeles was spent on the phone with future students and class planning. Someone was needed to focus on class registrations.

Working as “wrangler” for the Joy of Acting gives Diane more time for the classroom and both ladies an opportunity to continue their friendship. “It is my joy to assist Diane with her classes”.
